Testimonies I

My name is Brother Joshua Finklea. I would like to first give honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I thank the Lord for my pastor, family, and all the saints of The Progressive Church. I thank the Lord for being baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost!

I just want to share a brief testimony with you! When I was five years old I had a really bad cold that eventually caused me to be hospitalized for double pneumonia. I had fevers with temperatures higher than 105 degrees. I was so hot the nurses packed me in ice to cool me down. Also, because I had shortness of breath I had to be in a oxygen tent most of the time I was in the hospital, but I Thank The Lord through all these things he allowed me to live. There are people that have died or suffered greatly because of the very same situation that I was in, but God healed me and saw that He could use me to be an encouragement in someone's life. So I thank the Lord for all the things that he has blessed and delivered me from, seen and unseen. Pray for me that I will continue to grow stronger in The Lord!

Praise The Lord:
In November 1993, I was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost at the Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Sumter, South Carolina. I thank the Lord for his many blessings. On last year February 2004, I was in an accident due to the freezing rain storm we had. On my way to work, I lost control of my car. After flipping over several times, the car landed upright in a field. I walked to a nearby house and called my husband. I was taken to the hospital and thanks be to God, I only received minor injuries to my forehead.

After hearing about the many fatalities of other people, I Praise God for being a keeper, a deliverer, and for being my all in all. No matter what road I have to travel in life, I know Jesus will be there for me. I praise God for my salvation and I thank God for calling me out a world of sin into the church. To God be the Glory!

Praise the Lord! I give all honor, glory, and praise to the one from which all blessings flow. I praise the Lord for all of the blessings He has bestowed upon me. I praise him for being a KEEPER. I thank him for keeping me through a car accident, I thank and praise him because I, neither any of my family members had any injuries, nor were the other people hurt and I praise God for that. I thank the Lord for all his many blessings. I ask that you pray for me that I will continue to grow in Christ.

Each day, with the help of God, I will strive to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, because surely one day I want heaven to be my home. Although trials and tribulations come, I will claim the power to count it all joy. Lord help me to lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Help me to continually recognize that my help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Help me that my feet will be planted and I suffer my foot not to be moved because God promised me:

C That He will be my Comforter in the time of storms.
O That there is only One God, and there is no other for me.
R That His Righteousness will sustain me, if I keep my mind on Him.
A That He has granted me Amazing Grace and saved me from my sins.

L That He will always Love me, with an everlasting love.

B That if I trust Him, He will always Be my peace even in the battle.
A That He is the true vine and through the gift of the Holy Ghost, He will Abide in me.
K That He us my Keeper through the Holy Ghost.
E That I shall always Enter into His gates with praise, worship, and thanksgiving.
R That He is my King of Righteousness.

He is the King of King and Lord of Lord, a Lamb without blemish and without spot, but yet he shed his precious blood on the cross to make a way for a sinner like me. Lord, I Thank You! Lord, I Praise you! Please, let my mouth continually praise you. Than you for your everyday showers of blessings. Lord, I thank you!
